Announcing Rainbow Rumble
We're excited to announce the upcoming launch of our newest skill-based game!
Greetings Unicorns!
We are proud to announce the upcoming launch of Rainbow Rumble, our newest skill-based game in the Crypto Unicorns metaverse.
Rainbow Rumble is a fast-paced battle royale game where players race to complete an obstacle course. Players can deploy various Power Ups to get creative with their pathing, as well as sabotage other players by knocking them off of the map!
To play Rainbow Rumble, players must have at least one adult Crypto Unicorn NFT and RBW in their wallet. Players with multiple Unicorns will be able to select one to use as their avatar on the course. No land is required to play Rainbow Rumble.
The launch will be supported by a leaderboard with $25,000 in USDC prizes, as well as a creator tournament in the future.

Game Modes
Rainbow Rumble is a browser game that can run on any modern computer. It is currently not available for mobile or tablet devices and is best played with a mouse and keyboard.
There will be two types of game modes for Rainbow Rumble: Showdown Mode and Rush Mode.
Showdown Mode
For Showdown mode, your goal is to finish the track within 3 minutes to advance to the next track. On the final track, the remaining players’ ranking is determined by the order in which the players reach the finish line. In this mode, Unicorns can collide with each other and attempt to knock off opponents that might be on their way.
In this game mode, one match can have 20 Unicorn maximum participants and 17 Unicorn minimum participants.
There will be four tracks per match. For every track, a player will be qualified for the next track if they fulfill the track's goal, which is indicated on the left top corner of the player's screen.
Once you’re eliminated, you can spectate the current match or leave the event and join a new match.
Rush Mode
For Rush mode, your goal is simply to be the first to reach the finish line. In this mode, Unicorns have the ability to push and bump with one another; this will cause other opponents to fall down the void and hamper their chances of reaching the finish line first.
In Rush Mode, a match can have 5 maximum Unicorn participants and 3 Unicorn minimum participants. There will only be one track for this game mode.
Every time you fall into the void, you will be brought back to the checkpoint and the timer will continue, but take note that your main goal is to reach the finish line first so falling off the track will likely prevent you from being the first to finish the track.
In-game Currencies and UniMart
In-game Currencies
Rainbow Rumble has two currencies – the Rainbow Medal and the Marble.
Rainbow Medal
Rainbow Medal is the in-game currency that players can wager and collect. It is used as an entry fee to Skyward Showdown and Rainbow Rush. Rainbow Medal can be obtained at any point by exchanging it for $RBW on a 1:1 ratio and vice versa at the Rainbow Medal Exchange. Players can also receive Rainbow Medals as a match reward based on their match ranking.
Marble
Marbles is the in-game currency that is used to gain entry to Marble Showdown as well as to buy in-game items in UniMart, the game’s marketplace. All players start with 5000 Marbles.
Marbles are gained only through playing Rainbow Rumble Matches and completing Challenges. Marbles cannot be exchanged for any other currency.
Rainbow Medal Exchange
You’ll need Rainbow Medals to enter and play Skyward Showdown and Rainbow Rush in Rainbow Rumble. To get Rainbow Medals, you will need RBW in your wallet to exchange for Rainbow Medals and you can do this exchange inside the game.
Click the ‘+’ icon next to the Rainbow Medals. Here, you will have two options—Stash In and Stash Out.
Click Stash In (highlighted in yellow) and input the amount of RBW you want to stash in your game to convert to Rainbow Medals. This will prompt a transaction in your MetaMask account that you will need to approve. Once the exchange is complete, the Rainbow Medals will be reflected in your game. This medal exchange is on a 1:1 ratio (1 RBW = 1 Rainbow Medal) and the transaction is instant.
On the other hand, if you gather Rainbow Medals from winning matches, you can easily stash them out of your game and convert them back to RBW!
Head to the Medal Exchange pop-up by clicking the ‘+’ icon next to the Rainbow Medals. Click Stash Out (highlighted in yellow) and input the amount of Rainbow Medals you wish to convert to RBW. A transaction window will pop up in your MetaMask account. Approve the transaction and wait for your currency to be converted!
UniMart
Wanna elevate your gameplay to the next level? You can buy boosts and emotes at the UniMart! The UniMart is the in-game marketplace and here you can buy bundles that give you a random set of Power Ups (boosts) and Vibes (emotes). Bundles come in two variations: Small Bundle and Big Bundle.
Bundles
Small Bundle (2,500 Marbles) - contains 4 random Power Ups and a Vibe.
Big Bundle (4000 Marbles) - contains 7 random Power Ups and 3 Vibes.
Power Ups and Vibes are not sold individually. Additionally, Marbles are the only currency used in UniMart; Rainbow Medal cannot be used to buy items in UniMart.
Power Ups
Power Ups can be equipped during a match to give you an advantage over other players and help you finish each track. You can choose a maximum of 3 Power Ups to take with you in each match. Here are the Power Ups you can get from Bundle Packs and their abilities:
Pegasus
Increase jump height and decrease fall speed for 6 seconds. This Power Up can help you glide through the next platform without falling into the void as well as fly over a really tricky obstacle.
Shield
Prevents knockback from obstacles and players for 4 seconds.
Dash
Increased movement speed for 3 seconds.
Unifart
Fart on your enemies and cover their screen with a rainbow mist for 5 seconds.
Unicloak
Become invisible to other players for 10 seconds.
Vibes
Interact with other players in the game by using a set of Vibes! With Vibes, players can express what they're feeling in real-time with other players.
Vibes can be upgraded by opening more Bundle Packs and collecting more of the same Vibe. Vibes have three tiers: starting at Tier 1, collect 10 of the same Vibe to upgrade it to Tier 2; collect 50 to upgrade it to Tier 3!
Tier 1
Tier 2
Tier 3
Rewards
Depending on the game mode you entered, you will be rewarded with Marbles and Rainbow Medals after every match. Skyward Showdown and Rainbow Rush have an entry fee of Rainbow Medals and the prize pool is a combination of Rainbow Medals and Marbles. On the other hand, Marble Showdown uses Marbles for the entry fee and the prize pool will be Marbles.
The amount of rewards you will receive depends on your rank in a match. The total prize pool is split among the participants and the higher your rank, the greater your share in the prize pool. Rewards will be distributed as soon as players leave the event. Here are the reward distribution tables per game mode:
Skyward Showdown and Rainbow Rush
Skyward Showdown and Rainbow Rush game modes reward players with Rainbow Medals and Marbles
Marble Showdown

Rainbow Rumble Leaderboard
Rainbow Rumble’s release will come with a leaderboard that will run from December 14, 2023, to February 15, 2024. For the first iteration of the Rainbow Rumble Leaderboard, on top of lootboxes and high-stat Unicorns, we’re giving away a $25,000 USDC prize pool. Only the top 200 players of Rainbow Rumble will qualify for the leaderboard, so make sure you fight for a spot!
Leaderboard Scoring
There are two ways to gain leaderboard points—by playing any of the game modes and by completing quests on the challenge board. Placing a higher rank in matches rewards higher leaderboard points.
Skyward Showdown
The leaderboard points rewarded in Skyward Showdown are based on the final placement within the set of races. Each successive race rewards more leaderboard points than the previous race.
Rainbow Rush
The leaderboard scoring for Rainbow Rush will be the same as the first race in Skyward Showdown since players do not have to place and/or qualify. To balance the participation value between Skyward Showdown and Rainbow Rush, Rainbow Rush races are treated a la carte with no clear advantage; the points rewarded for playing Rainbow Rush over and over will not be greater than the points rewarded for playing Skyward Showdown.
Milestones
Everyone wins in this season’s Leaderboard even if they are not at the top. Two milestones will be set throughout the duration of the Rainbow Rumble Leaderboard and players will receive rewards if they are able to complete the tasks of each milestone within each milestone’s respective periods.
Milestone 1 - December 14, 2023 to January 11, 2024
Milestone 2 - January 12, 2024 to February 15, 2024
Leaderboard Rewards
The top 200 Rainbow Rumble players get a share of the $25,000 USDC prize pool on top of lootbox and Unicorn rewards via the Unicorn Bag.
With Unicorn Bag, players can draw a random high-stat Unicorn from the reward pool. The higher a player’s placement in the Leaderboard, the more rolls they have in the Unicorn Bag. For players both old and new, this is an opportunity to add a valuable Unicorn to your collection.
