Read all the upcoming changes related to the 3.0.5 Tuning Update!
Hey, Unifam!
For the upcoming tuning push this January 18, 2024 UTC, we’re building on what we established on the Land Gameplay 2.0 release, aka Make Farming Great Again, by fine-tuning a few aspects to ensure sustainability in the long run.
The changes will be completed after the maintenance period on January 18, 2024, at 6 PM UTC.

Core Game Changes
Bug Fixes
Seedbags and Quest Scrolls UNIM Cost Changes
The UNIM costs for crafting Seedbags and Quest Scrolls have been adjusted. With the release of Land Gameplay 2.0, we have been net sourcing UNIM during the week and net sinking UNIM during weekends, and this is largely due to Jousting being available only on the weekends.
But even with more time to net source UNIM in the span of any given week, we have successfully decreased the circulating supply of UNIM by 30 million. Now that the RBW inflation is dependent on UNIM’s supply through gameplay mechanisms, the adjustments in UNIM cost for some items such as Seedbags and Quest Scrolls would help our efforts in speeding up the rate at which UNIM is burned.
We aim to decrease the UNIM circulating supply, strongly correlate UNIM sinks to RBW sources, and gate RBW production behind a low circulating UNIM supply with the next series of changes.
We had originally planned to increase UNIM costs associated with Jousting entry fees, but based on community feedback we have decided to hold back on this change for now. We will revisit this as we get closer to the coming overhaul of the Jousting formula.
Quests Changes
Collections Quests
Tier Level Changes on Booster Rewards
Our new Collections Quest Loop has received high engagement thanks in part to the juicy Tier VI Booster rewards. However, we also noticed a decrease in crafting said boosters (AKA our largest crafting sink), which also decreased the amount of UNIM sunk in that loop.
With that in mind, we’re adjusting the tier level of the boosters rewarded on Collections Quests with the aim of restoring players’ drive to spend UNIM to craft Tier VI boosters again while retaining the level of engagement to Collections Quests.
Mythic Collections
For 3.0.5, we’re also introducing Mythic Collections! Mythic Collections are completed as a class group: for instance, to complete a Light Mythic Collection, players will need to obtain a certain amount of Heart, Cloud, and Rainbow collection items. Once completed, this will provide generous rewards and leaderboard points!
Daily and Weekly Quests RBW Rewards
We adjusted the amount of RBW rewards that Daily and Weekly quests give out to players to help ensure that the inflation curve of RBW is aligned with the player growth curve. Expect that this will be continuously updated moving forward.
Tier II Item Usage for Weekly Quests
Compared to Tier I and III Class Items, Tier II Class Items are underutilized since they are not required until the latter half of the Weekly Quest Chain. To increase the utility of Tier II Class Items, they will now be required starting at Quest Chain Level 2.
Beginner Quests
We’re happy that the Beginner Quests have been a hit for players though we also recognize that its current iteration is susceptible to abuse so we have tweaked it to mitigate abuse. One of the tweaks we have made is switching out Tier III rewards with Quest Scrolls.
The shift from Tier III rewards to Quest Scrolls establishes a stronger, more seamless transition for beginners from starting with Beginner Quests to moving forward to Collections Quests.
Class and Joust Giftboxes Changes
After the release of Land Gameplay 2.0, we noticed a significant increase in Seeds and Berries sources thanks to Class and Joust Giftboxes. To get the daily sources close to how it was pre-Land Gameplay 2.0, Seeds and Berries will now not be included as rewards from Class and Joust Giftboxes.
To compensate for this change, we will be adding UNIM as a reward for Class Giftboxes. The amount of UNIM you will receive varies in each Class Giftbox.
Lunar New Year Event
Celebrate the Lunar New Year with our new in-game event! This will pop up in the Events tab, requiring several Tier II and Tier III materials.
The Lunar New Year event will be split among the different class groups. For a refresher: Rainbow, Heart, and Cloud Unicorns fall under the Light class group; Flower, Candy, and Omnom Unicorns fall under the Wonder class group; and Crystal, Moon, and Star Unicorns fall under the Mystery class group. Players will need to use T3 materials and T2 generic materials from each class group to proceed but may use any Unicorn class. Completing each event quest rewards players with Mythic Class Collection Items and UNIM!
This event can only be completed once and ends on February 25, 2024 UTC.
Weekly Questboard Reset
There was a bug wherein the timers for the Weekly Quests in the Questboard did not reset after the timer expired. The fix was implemented in the last tuning update where revisions were made to Beginner Quests’ UNIM and material rewards (see our article about it here.)
Changelog:
19 January 2023, 9:03 UTC - Removed the UNIM Rewards in “3.0.5 Joust Giftbox Rewards Changes” table. Edited “3.0.5 New Year Lunar Event” table to show Quest 37.
